Bobby
started playing at the age of ten and by fourteen was playing professionally.
At age nineteen, he was asked to join
Johnny
Winters new super group featuring Rick Derringer
formerly of the McCoys of Hang
on Sloopy fame. This group produced the top
twenty album Johnny
Winter And Live. This was Johnnys highest
selling CBS album ever. You can also hear Bobby on Johnnys Saints
and Sinners album. Rick
Derringer then asked him to play on his first solo LP
on CBS All
American Boy which produced the now classic top
ten hit Rock and Roll Hootchie Koo.
The
Allman
Brothers Live at the Filmore East features a guest
appearance by"B.C." Bobby was then asked to form along with ex-members
of Deep Purple and
Iron Butterfly,
the progressive rock group Captain
Beyond which recorded two albums on Capricorn
Records and a third for Warner Brothers Records. The
Yardbirds, Keith Relf formed
Armageddon
on A&M
Records, which featured Bobbys writing
and arranging skills in addition to playing drums. Bobby is a dedicated professional
who currently lives in Florida where he still works with Captain
Beyond, as well as, doing studio work singing and
playing drums.
In
addition, he works as a certified health and fitness expert doing personal training
and nutritional counseling. He neither smokes nor drinks and is on a strict diet.
He feels that this lifestyle allows him to always perform
at his best!
